Tea Party with Maja Berezowska
Curated by Kasia Sobczak
‘Tea Party with Maja Berezowska’ departed from the artist, Berezowska’s work, displayed in the exhibition, Migration: Traces in an art collection at Tensta konsthall, and explored the artist’s biography up to the contemporary reception and reinterpretation of her oeuvre by artists such as Paulina Ołowska. The event, an orchestrated tea party, took place in a semi-private museum apartment from 1969 located in Tensta. It was a retrospective of Berezowska's life as well as a nod to the traditions from Soviet times, when social life was predominantly happening in the private sphere.
Project in collaboration with Tensta konsthall and Stadstmuseet Stockholm.
