Lucie Gottlieb is an independent curator, cultural worker, and stained-glass artist based in Stockholm. She has a master degree in Curating Art from Stockholm University, a bachelor in Art History from Sorbonne University, and she is currently working for Konstfrämjandet Norrbotten as project manager and producer. In her practice, she gathers personal and collective experiences to explore affective notions, such as loss and grief, place attachment, public feelings, and ritualism. Doing so, she aims to make visible the vulnerability of humans, society, and eco-systems, while showing that living and dying well are impossible alone.
Lucie is the co-founder of Nef, an artist-run space located in Bagarmossen in Stockholm, and one of the initiators of the long-term artistic study programme Mourning School, together with Rosa Paardenkooper. Her projects have been presented at Konsthall C, Fylkingen, and the Wooden Cemetery in Stockholm, Gnesta Art Lab, Kalmar Konstmuseum, HIAP in Helsinki and Tent in Rotterdam among others.
