Leonore Spemann

Leonore Spemann is a curator and cultural producer whose practice operates across institutional and independent contexts. Most recently, she has been working intensively on her PhD thesis on the artist Rose Wylie. Based in Berlin, she will run Kunstverein für Mecklenburg und Vorpommern in Schwerin as of October 2026. Her curatorial practice is concerned with the production of simultaneities and with interrogating the claims that are made upon, and through, space.

Leonore holds an MA in Curatorial Studies from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and the Hochschule für Bildende Künste–Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main, and a BA in Cultural Studies from Zeppelin University. She has previously worked at Kunstverein Bielefeld, the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen and Museum Ludwig.
