Fatoumata Laisa Conde
Fatoumata Laisa Conde is a curator and project manager working between Europe and west Africa. With a background in Cultural Sciences, her research and practice focuses on cultural exchange, accessibility, and care in the arts, as well as fostering environments where marginalised voices can thrive. She is the creator of Healing & Dealing, a program that promotes social responsibility in the cultural sector, and has collaborated with institutions such as The Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux, where she contributed to several different projects. Her curatorial and production work also extends to initiatives such as the Dak’Art Biennale OFF program in Senegal as part of the M’BOKK, and she has worked with organisations such as MDF – The Label in Belgium.
Conde’s commitment to the arts lies in creating safer, sustainable, and more inclusive cultural spaces, particularly by mentoring cultural workers from marginalized backgrounds, and through her networks connecting them to opportunities within the field. She is guided by a passion for everything art and the power that lies in the intersections of art, care and public space. Her work has been published in NoNiin Magazine, reflecting her critical engagement with structural inequalities in the culture and arts scene.
