Hala Alnaji (London/Stockholm) is an architect, an artist, and a Ph.D. researcher at the University of Westminster/ London. Hala has an M.Sc. in architecture and two years of advanced research in Decolonizing Architecture from the Royal Institute of Arts/ Stockholm. She is the co-founder and the president of Because We Care Förening; a non-profit organization for social, cultural, and humanitarian participation, which is based in Sweden and works locally and globally. As a researcher, Hala presented and published research papers at conferences in Europe and the Middle East. She wrote her first book "Scatterers in the shadow and the soft drowning at the edge of the city, " published in 2022. Hala is interested in research related to architecture, anthropology, phenomenology, conflict, migration, mapping, photography, social behavior in urban space, spatial interventions, architectural exhibitionism, and the humanitarian approach to architecture.
