Eleni Riga (b.1989, pronouns: she/her) is an independent visual arts curator based in Athens, Greece. She is interested in intersectional feminism, ecology, social justice and tools humanity has created to cope with life, pain, love, anger and loss. Currently, Riga is a guest curator at Callirrhoe and Atopos CVC in Athens and the nomadic network Occupy Art Project. Between 2015-2020 she co-curated the art & research platform hd.kepler.
Previously, she worked as Director of Contemporary Art at Eleusis 2021 European Capital of Culture and curatorial assistant at documenta 14. Between 2019-21, she was a fellow at the Adult & Academic Programs, Education Department, MoMa in New York, and the ARCAthens organisation in the Bronx (U.S.A.) and 40mcube in Rennes (FR). Riga holds a master in curatorial studies from Université Paris 1 Panthéon – Sorbonne and has previously studied Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University in Athens.
