Dafne Leidi
Dafne Leidi is a Gothenburg-based curator and founder of Allmänna Konsthall, an independent gallery established in 2023. Her practice combines experimentation with experience drawn from previous collaborations and professional engagements, fostering a personal and artist-centered approach to exhibition-making. Leidi seeks to incorporate both established and emerging artists, maintaining an experimental approach based on the spatial aspects of the gallery. Committed to bringing artists and audiences together, her work emphasizes collaborative problem-solving, dialogue, and the potential of bringing contemporary art to diverse publics. Allmänna Konsthall has featured over 30 artists and artist collectives.
Dafne Leidi studied at Alfred University (NY) and graduated Kulturverkstan in Gothenburg, Sweden. She has previously worked for several artists such as Carolee Schneemann and Larry Miller, and completed internships and collaborations with GIBCA at Röda Sten Konsthall and contemporary art platform NSFW/Svilova. Since September 2023, she has been running Allmänna Konsthall and has recently undertaken guest exhibitions at Gerlesborgs Konsthall in Norra Bohuslän as well as Bolaget Vardagsbilder in Mölndal.
