Aleksandra Jarosz Laszlo
Aleksandra Jarosz Laszlo is a Polish-Swedish artist, art educator, and curator based in Sweden. Her work intricately weaves folklore, mythology, and contemporary themes to critique societal norms around gender, sexuality, and identity, blending realism with fantasy to create layered narratives that explore female agency, bodily autonomy, and cultural heritage. Her projects and residencies reflect a commitment to engaging with community, education, and cultural discourse, positioning her art as both a personal exploration and a broader commentary on societal transformation.
From 2018 to 2020, she was artistic director and curator at BOMO, an art gallery in Borlänge that was run by the Dalarna County Council and was officially inaugurated in May 2016. In her role as an art educator, she developed a lab/studio/workshop/hangout BOMO 10+, a place for children to create, experience, and discuss, individually and collectively.
She currently holds a curatorial position at Konsthallen Meken, a municipal art gallery, a place for contemporary art, design, and crafts in southern Dalarna.
