Ana Victoria Bruno (she/they) is an Argentinian-Italian curator, writer and art professional currently based in Zurich, where they work as Curatorial Assistant at the non-profit art space We Are AIA. Before moving to Zurich, Ana lived in London where they graduated from the MFA Curating programme at Goldsmiths in October 2022, while working in the programmes team at the non-profit art gallery and residency Gasworks and for the art fair Frieze.
Ana’s curatorial practice departs from an interest in unveiling the nuances of “home”, investigating the experience of migration, how migrants and displaced bodies interact with new cultures, new landscapes, the role of traditions and stories in shaping our way of relating to each other and to our surroundings.
Ana’s practice aims at facilitating dialogue between practitioners whose work creates new ways of being together with human and more-than-human beings through collective thinking, care, rituals surrounding food and other ways to share personal histories and creating new collective ones. Ana is interested in exploring ways of curating which are rooted in kind, slowness, care and long-term support to artists.
