Giovanni Giacomo Paolin is a freelance curator based in Venice. He holds a BA in Visual Arts and Theater from IUAV University and an MA in Contemporary Art History from Ca’ Foscari University. He had the opportunity to take part in several curatorial programs like CAMPO at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (2014), Curating the new at the University of Malta (2016), and Curatorial Lab at V-A-C Foundation (2019). He’s the president of a small cultural association that promotes cultural initiatives in his hometown, Dolo. His professional background was built in years of liaising with private and public institutions such as Castello di Rivoli, MAXXI, Fondazione Elpis, Fondazione In Between Art Film, and contemporary art galleries like Galleria Continua and PACE Gallery.
A selection of recent projects as an independent curator includes Immersione Libera (2019), Six steps forward for one step back (2019), and Una Boccata d’Arte (2020 - 2022).
