Ieva Laube (Riga / Helsinki) is a writer, researcher, and curator of education projects. Her background has been shaped by the intertwining fields of publishing, non-formal education practices in the urban, social and art institutional contexts and project management in arts and culture. Captivated by the format of social intervention, public space, local histories and knowledge, Ieva is interested in devising learning situations rooted in critical pedagogies and collective, participatory practices.

Ieva holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Latvia, followed by an intensive course in Design Writing, Research and Criticism at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. She has worked as the Education & Publishing Officer at Riga International Biennial of Contemporary Art (RIBOCA), developing the biennial’s education program, overseeing its publishing processes, editing and co-authoring several publications. She has developed learning projects for the Finnish Museum of Photography, Helsinki Design Museum, EMMA, and is currently finishing her MA degree in ‘Nordic Visual Studies and Art Education’ at Aalto University.
