Lovro Japundžić (b. 1990 in Zagreb) currently works as a curator at Galerija Miroslav Kraljevic (G-MK), an independent and non-profit contemporary art platform and gallery, dedicated to artistic and intellectual practices that question various phenomena of contemporary culture and society. Since 2019 he’s been working at Mocvara Gallery together with Lea Vene doing event-based programs, exploring the idea of a resistance introducing different tactics that could restructure the world we live in. The subversive potential of play, new forms of collectivity and anger as a regenerative tool are some of the models of confrontation that have been translated into cathartic spatial installations and performances in previous seasons. He is one of the members of the curatorial collective that runs the international photography festival Organ Vida. Last year's festival edition titled „Hesitant Images” reflected on our current reality marked with crisis of representation and image manipulation. In 2018/2019 he participated as a curator in Parallel – European platform for contemporary photography. Between 2013-2019 he worked as a program selector of the Association for the Promotion of Independent Music Culture – Ziva Muzika, active in promoting innovative approaches to club music. In addition to his curatorial work, he also worked as a producer of a collaborative performance group - BADco.
