Edy Fung is an artist, musician and independent curator from Hong Kong currently based between Belfast and Derry. She holds an MA in Curating Contemporary Design at Kingston University London and an MA in Architecture at the Royal College of Art. She is currently curator-in-residence at Flax Art Studios, visiting scholar at Sonic Arts Research Centre and the 2020-21 cohort of Amplify D.A.I. programme by British Council, in partnership with MUTEK and Somerset House Studios. During her directorship at Catalyst Arts, Belfast 2017-19, she curated and produced a number of cross-disciplinary exhibitions and commissions including architecture, performance art, sound art and bio-art. In 2018, she curated with Visual Artists Ireland to deliver ‘New Spaces’, an inaugural six-month long urban art festival in Derry and Strabane to showcase contemporary art in alternative public sites.
